Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how 1001744253 Ontario Inc., operating as CrowdSurge ("CrowdSurge", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the CrowdSurge website, event pages, and RSVP flows (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
1. Information We Collect
From Peek members who host or attend events
If you host or attend an event as a Peek member, CrowdSurge receives your display name, thumbnail photo, and verified-member badge from the Peek app at the moment you create the event or RSVP. CrowdSurge does not independently collect or verify this information — Peek remains responsible for your account and identity.
From guests who RSVP without a Peek account
If you're invited to an event and you're not a Peek member, we collect the name, email address, and/or phone number you provide when you RSVP. This is used only to confirm your RSVP, send you a confirmation message, and let you update your response later using the same invite link. There is no account or password associated with this information — your invite link is what lets you access and update your RSVP.
Event details
When a host creates an event, we store the title, description, date and time, venue/location details, capacity, and any banner image the host provides. Venue details may be looked up against Google's Places data to fill in a map location.
Event comments
We store the comments attendees post on an event page, along with the display name associated with the Peek account that posted them, so conversations persist for other attendees to see.
Venue partnership inquiries
If you submit a venue partnership inquiry through our website, we collect the venue name, contact name, email address, city, venue type, and any notes you provide, and use this solely to follow up about a potential partnership.
Technical Information
Like any website, our servers log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and troubleshooting purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create, display, and manage event pages
- To process and confirm RSVPs, and to notify guests of confirmations by email or text message
- To determine when an event has enough confirmed attendees to be listed as locked in
- To respond to venue partnership inquiries
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or violations of our Terms of Service
3. How We Share Your Information
We share information only as needed to operate the Service:
- Peek receives event and RSVP data for events created through the Peek app's GroupUp feature, so the two apps stay in sync on the same event.
- Twilio delivers text-message RSVP confirmations on our behalf, and processes the phone number and message content needed to do so.
- Our email delivery provider sends email confirmations and notifications on our behalf.
- Google (Places API) is used to look up venue location details when a host picks a venue.
- Legal and safety disclosures may be made where required by law or necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of CrowdSurge, our users, or the public.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data Retention
We retain event and RSVP information for as long as the event remains relevant (including after it has occurred, for record-keeping), and remove or anonymize it after a reasonable period once it's no longer needed. Cancelled events and their associated RSVPs are retained in the same way, rather than deleted immediately, so hosts and attendees can see that an event was cancelled rather than simply disappearing.
5. Your Rights and Choices
If you're a guest who RSVP'd without a Peek account, you can update or withdraw your RSVP at any time using your invite link. To request deletion of information we hold about you, or to ask what information we have, contact us using the details below. If you're a Peek member, you can also manage most of your own information directly within the Peek app.
6. Children's Privacy
CrowdSurge is intended for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to host or RSVP to an event. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we will delete any such information if we become aware of it.
7. Security
We use industry-standard technical measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections. Because guest RSVPs are accessed through an unguessable link rather than a password, keeping that link private is an important part of keeping your RSVP secure — treat it the way you would a password.
8. International Users
CrowdSurge is operated from Canada. If you use the Service from outside Canada, your information will be transferred to and processed in Canada, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
10. Contact Us
